Biography
Liliana Gómez was born in Cuba and came to the United States at the age of nine. She attended Florida State University, where she graduated cum laude with a degree in criminology. While earning her college degree, Ms. Gómez volunteered for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, which sparked her interest in a career in law.
She then attended Florida International University College of Law. While attending law school, Ms. Gómez participated in the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic, where she had the opportunity to represent clients in their removal proceedings and where she gained valuable experience on how the immigration system works. In her second year of law school, she began working at García & Qayum Law Group, where she strengthened her passion for immigrant advocacy. After her graduation, she joined the G&Q team as a lawyer.
Being an immigrant herself, Ms. Gómez is dedicated to defending the immigrant community. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
