Biography
Vivianna Tijerino is the daughter of Nicaraguan and Colombian immigrants. She attended Florida State University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in psychology. Her volunteer work with National Voices for Equality, Education, and Enlightenment (“NVEEE”), where she supported underserved communities as the Director of Mentoring Services, fueled her passion for social justice and human rights.
She then attended Florida International University College of Law, where she graduated cum laude. While attending law school, Ms. Tijerino participated in the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic, led by Attorney Juan Carlos Gomez, where she gained valuable experience on how the immigration system works.
Being the child of immigrants, Ms. Tijerino is dedicated to defending the immigrant community. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
